Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has issued five new decisions aimed at removing encroachments and building violations in areas under the jurisdiction of the New Beni Suef and Sadat City Development Authorities.
This move comes as part of ongoing efforts to combat construction violations, preserve the architectural character of new cities, and prevent illegal occupation of state-owned land.

El-Sherbini reaffirmed that the Ministry of Housing and its affiliated city authorities will continue to confront building violations and encroachments across new urban cities. He stressed the necessity of conducting continuous campaigns to prevent any forms of informal or unregulated development, while safeguarding the modern and civilized appearance of these cities.
He further noted that there are clear directives to city authority heads and officials to closely monitor such issues, as they fall directly within their responsibilities. This oversight is essential to preserving the cities’ urban standards and ensuring the quality of services provided to citizens.
The documented violations included the illegal construction of buildings with various uses, heights, and areas; the establishment of unlicensed boundary walls; and the encroachment on land without legal documentation or official permits.
