Minister of Housing Issues Decree for New Integrated Urban Project in New Cairo

Engineer Ashraf Fathy Mahmoud, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and City Expansion, and Supervisor of the Authority’s Utilities Projects, conducted an inspection of the utility projects and water and sewage stations in New Beni Suef City. The field visit, which included several Authority officials and Engineer Ahmed Abdelgaber, Head of the City Authority, aimed to review the progress and performance of key infrastructure projects.

The tour began with an inspection of the main lifting station, where officials reviewed the station’s operations and performance. The visit also included a check of the water intake station, which operates with a capacity of 109,000 cubic meters per day, and the water purification plant, which has a capacity of 104,000 cubic meters per day. Additionally, the inspection covered the secondary sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 52,000 cubic meters per day.

The tour concluded with a visit to the tertiary sewage treatment plant, where officials assessed the station’s performance and ensured it met the required technical standards.

Engineer Ashraf Fathy emphasized the importance of accelerating work on utility projects in New Beni Suef City, stressing adherence to the highest standards of quality, environmental, and health safety. He also highlighted the necessity of monitoring operating and maintenance companies to ensure efficient operation and maintain the performance of electricity generators to guarantee continuous operation of the stations.
