Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has issued seven decisions to remove building violations and encroachments on plots of land belonging to the New Urban Communities Authority within the boundaries of the new urban development “New Beni Mazar” in Minya Governorate.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized the ministry’s continued efforts to eliminate building violations and encroachments to preserve the country’s urban image, safeguard its resources, and prevent the spread of informal developments in new cities. He also highlighted directives given to city authority heads regarding this matter, considering it one of their direct responsibilities.
In a statement, he clarified that the decisions include removing building violations and encroachments on land plots measuring 2.84 – 2.54 – 5.48 – 1.30 – 4.76 – 17.38 – 6.90 feddans within the boundaries of New Beni Mazar. These violations include irregular agricultural activities, unauthorized buildings constructed with white bricks, randomly dug groundwater wells, and illegal activities, all lacking legal basis.
The decisions also state that the concerned city authority, in cooperation with the Construction Police and the local police department, will be responsible for demolition operations.
