Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the issuance of seven demolition orders targeting building violations within the jurisdiction of the Sadat City Development Authority and the Second Sector of the Northwestern North Coast.
The minister highlighted the ministry’s ongoing efforts to confront building violations and encroachments within cities and new urban communities. He emphasized that regular campaigns are being carried out to eliminate random, unplanned construction and to preserve the civilized character of these areas. Clear directives have also been issued to the heads of city authorities to take direct responsibility for these tasks.

The demolition orders included removing building violations across several areas in Sadat City. These violations involved the construction of a mobile network tower, installation of metal canopies, concrete columns with repeated floors, the execution of an unfinished basement without a roof, and the addition of extra floors — all carried out without permits or legal authorization. Additionally, one of the orders targeted an illegal building in a tourist village in the Second Sector of the Northwestern North Coast, which was erected without the required construction permits.
The decisions stressed the importance of executing the demolitions through cooperation between the Sadat City Authority and the Northwestern North Coast’s Second Sector Authority, with full support from the Urban Police and the competent police department to ensure effective enforcement.
