Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced 30 decisions targeting the removal of encroachments and building violations across a number of areas falling under the jurisdiction of the New Urban Communities Authority, including (New Fashn – El Shorouk – the First and Second Sectors of the North West Coast – New Damietta).

The minister emphasized the ongoing commitment of the ministry’s agencies to addressing building violations and encroachments in new cities and urban communities, while continuing campaigns aimed at curbing informal practices and maintaining the urban character of these areas.

The recorded violations and encroachments involved cases of land seizure and the establishment of agricultural activities in New Fashn City; the construction of buildings with different sizes and heights, as well as central batching plants in El Shorouk City; and the execution of concrete foundations and columns, wooden formwork, rooms built with white bricks, ground-floor structures, and the use of a concrete mixer on the Northwest Coast.

In addition, a fourth-floor roof slab was cast on a plot of land in New Damietta City—all carried out without obtaining the required permits or any legal authorization.
