Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny has issued 29 decisions to remove building violations and encroachments in areas under the jurisdiction of the Tourism Villages Development Authority and several new cities, including Sadat City, New Fayoum, and New Damietta, among others. These decisions aim to restore order in new urban communities, preserve their architectural character, and prevent any form of chaos or encroachment on state-owned lands.
The minister affirmed that campaigns to remove all types of violations will continue in accordance with the state’s directives to enforce the rule of law and confront all transgressions. He explained that the ministry is implementing a comprehensive plan to strengthen urban discipline in residential and tourist areas while preserving their civilized appearance — considering this a top national priority.

Various violations were detected, including unlicensed buildings, unauthorized cemeteries, seasonal agricultural activities, illegal wells, and unlawful construction expansions. These infringements prompted the ministry to issue immediate demolition and removal orders to protect public lands and prevent their unauthorized exploitation.
The minister emphasized the importance of strictly monitoring the implementation of these removal decisions and preventing future encroachments. He warned against any negligence in enforcing supervisory duties, stressing that safeguarding new cities from urban disorder is a shared responsibility among all employees in the housing sector.
