Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the “Diarna” residential project in the Third Settlement area on Saturday. The project is one of the ministry’s newly launched housing developments, implemented according to the latest urban planning and architectural standards with the aim of providing an integrated residential community that combines privacy, comfort, and a high quality of life.
During the visit, Engineer Randa El-Menshawy received a detailed briefing on the current construction progress of the project, which consists of 34 residential buildings containing 312 housing units with various sizes ranging from 104 to 154 square meters, meeting the needs of different segments of citizens.
Officials from the city authority explained that the project has been designed based on an integrated urban concept that prioritizes green spaces and open areas while creating a modern and sustainable residential environment. The development includes two residential building models, each consisting of a ground floor and five repeated floors, in addition to penthouse units, with a total of 26 residential units per building.
The minister also reviewed the implementation of the project’s utility infrastructure, including drinking water networks, wastewater systems, irrigation networks, electricity, and telecommunications, alongside roadworks and the essential infrastructure required to serve the development, ensuring the delivery of a fully integrated urban community upon completion.
Engineer Randa El-Menshawy noted that the Ministry of Housing continues to work simultaneously on two main priorities. The first focuses on maintaining the efficiency of existing residential developments through an integrated system for operation, maintenance, and service enhancement. The second involves implementing new housing projects that meet citizens’ needs while keeping pace with Egypt’s accelerating urban development.
The minister stressed the importance of adhering to the highest standards of quality during both construction and operation while ensuring continuous monitoring of progress across all projects. She emphasized that these efforts will help deliver integrated and sustainable urban communities, support the state’s urban development goals, and improve the overall quality of life for citizens.
