Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the progress of work at the “Beit Al Watan” project in the eastern extension of New Cairo City at the conclusion of her inspection tour today.
She was accompanied by Engineer Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities, along with several officials from the Ministry of Housing, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and the head of the New Cairo City Development Authority.
The Minister of Housing stated that the “Beit Al Watan” project is one of the state’s key national initiatives, launched to provide premium residential land plots for Egyptians living abroad while strengthening their connection to their homeland. She explained that the project in New Cairo includes approximately 17,555 residential plots of various sizes, allocated to Egyptians working abroad as well as under the “Most Distinguished” land project.
Engineer Randa El-Menshawy noted that the ongoing infrastructure and essential utilities works are part of the state’s plan to accelerate development within the “Beit Al Watan” project, prepare its various districts to receive residents, and maximize the return on investments made in the project. She added that this reinforces its position as one of the largest urban development projects in New Cairo and one of the most significant projects dedicated to serving Egyptians living abroad.
The minister directed that infrastructure and utility projects within the development continue without delay, as they support urban development rates and contribute to creating a fully integrated environment for both housing and investment, while adhering to the approved project timelines for completion.
She also emphasized the importance of responding promptly to all citizens’ requests, listening to their inquiries, addressing their concerns, and keeping them informed of the procedures and measures being taken to meet their needs on an ongoing basis. For his part, Engineer Ahmed Rashad, Head of the New Cairo City Development Authority, explained that the project enjoys a strategic location north of the city’s extension area.
It is bordered by the Cairo–Suez Road to the north and the Middle Ring Road to the southeast, while also being connected to the extension of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Axis, which leads directly to the New Administrative Capital, significantly enhancing the project’s investment and development potential.
He added that the “Beit Al Watan” project consists of eight residential districts, in addition to a variety of service and investment zones. These include the South Suez Area, the 1,000 Feddan Area (Orchid), the 3-4 feddans north of the 1,000 Feddan Area, the Fifth Area of the 1,000 Feddan Zone, and the 433-feddan Area north of Beit Al Watan, all interconnected through a network of major roads linking the project’s different districts.
The New Cairo City Development Authority continues to implement and complete infrastructure and utility works, including road networks, potable water systems, sewerage networks, landscaping, afforestation, and the upgrading of major road corridors. These efforts contribute to improving residents’ quality of life and encourage landowners to accelerate construction and occupancy.
Regarding the land allocated to Egyptians living abroad, which includes the First through Fifth Districts, part of the Seventh District, and the 433-Feddan Area north of Beit Al Watan, the project comprises 9,926 land plots, all of which have been fully provided with infrastructure and utility services.
Infrastructure and utility works have also been fully completed for all plots under the “Most Distinguished” project, which includes the Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Districts; the South Suez Area; the 1,000 Feddan Area (Orchid); the 200-Feddan Area in the Fourth District; the 3-4 North of the 1,000 Feddan Area; and the Fifth Area of the 1,000 Feddan Zone, totaling 7,629 land plots.
The total number of land plots that have been fully serviced with infrastructure and utilities within the “Beit Al Watan” project has now reached 17,555 plots, while infrastructure and utility works continue across the project’s various areas in accordance with the approved implementation schedule.
