During his visit to New Obour City, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour of the ongoing development works for roads and infrastructure in the Al-Amal area, which was previously added to New Obour City. The visit aimed to follow up on implementation progress and readiness for handing over the targeted zones to citizens. He was accompanied by several officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and the head of the New Obour City Authority.
During the tour, the Minister received a detailed briefing from Engineer Mahmoud Murad, Head of the City Authority, on the current status of infrastructure and public services in the area. The briefing highlighted significant progress in the third neighborhood of District 29, which includes plots of various sizes. Work is currently underway to complete water, sewage, and irrigation networks, as well as land preparation in line with the approved delivery schedule.

In addition, infrastructure works in the fourth and fifth neighborhoods of District 29 are nearing completion. These neighborhoods include plots ranging between 350 and 450 square meters, with strict adherence to quality standards and accelerated timelines to ensure prompt delivery. Meanwhile, the fourth neighborhood in District 32, containing 209-square-meter plots, is being prepared with roadworks and essential infrastructure networks in anticipation of phased handovers.
Regarding the second and third neighborhoods in District 32 and the second neighborhood in District 29, plot sizes range between 209 and 500 square meters. These plots have already been delivered to citizens following the completion of all infrastructure and utility installations. Additionally, work is underway to launch nine more neighborhoods in the Al-Amal area as part of the city’s broader development plan.
Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized that these projects align with the state’s strategy to maximize the use of newly added land areas and regulate their status. The initiative aims to expand Egypt’s urban footprint and increase the availability of fully serviced land plots equipped with essential infrastructure and utilities.
