Following the completion of his tour in New Cairo, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour today in El Shorouk City. The tour included a review of the main roads, strategic axes, and key squares across the city. He was accompanied by several officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority, in addition to representatives from the El Shorouk City Authority.
The minister followed up on the progress of ongoing works across various axes, roads, and squares, starting from Entrance No. 2 on the Cairo–Suez Road and passing through the Al-Nady District. In this context, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing maintenance operations and ensuring the cleanliness and landscaping of public areas, along with maintaining street lighting poles.

He also directed the removal of waste and the allocation of designated parking areas, especially in high-density zones, in addition to the optimal utilization of unused plots of land within the axes currently under development.
During his tour, the minister also reviewed the status of the remaining vacant plots in the city, instructing continued monitoring of existing projects that had been previously allocated on these lands. He stressed the necessity of making the best use of these areas to provide direct benefit to citizens in accordance with the terms of the contracts signed. He also affirmed the importance of improving the city’s overall appearance to enhance its visual appeal.
