Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the progress of infrastructure and road works in the lands under the jurisdiction of the New Urban Communities Authority in the West Dabaa area, covering 1,230 acres. He was accompanied by senior officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, heads of the new city authorities in the North Coast region, and the minister’s technical office.
During the visit, the minister directed that the work areas for infrastructure and road development in West Dabaa be divided to expedite completion. He emphasized the need for a compressed timeline and continuous monitoring of progress. El-Sherbini also instructed that the existing settlements be incorporated into the region’s developmental plan, ensuring a swift completion of the current population survey. Architectural models were provided to eligible residents for alternative housing plots, with the aim of unifying the visual identity of the new urban community.
The minister highlighted the Egyptian government’s efforts to develop the West Dabaa area by establishing a fully serviced urban community. This project is designed to accommodate residents of both coastal and inland areas of West Dabaa, provide service areas for the local population, create regional investment zones along the coastal road, and generate job opportunities and various services for the residents, ultimately improving their standard of living.
