Minister of Housing Inspects Badya “Oasis of October” Project in New October City

Minister of Housing Inspects Badya

Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the Badya “Oasis of October” project, a joint venture between the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and Palm Hills Developments, located in New October City. This visit took place alongside his participation in the inauguration of Badya University, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

During the tour, the minister, Yasseen Mansour, Chairman of Palm Hills Developments, and officials from both the ministry and Palm Hills reviewed the various components of the Badya project. The minister received a detailed briefing from Palm Hills executives regarding the progress and execution of the different project phases.

Minister El-Sherbiny highlighted that the government has partnered with the private sector on large-scale developments spanning thousands of acres in fourth-generation cities, with investments exceeding one trillion Egyptian pounds. The state’s share amounts to hundreds of billions, and these projects create tens of thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities. He emphasized that such partnerships were made possible through the government’s urban expansion strategy, guided by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The minister and his delegation toured one of the project’s phases, inspecting residential buildings, villas, and the various services offered. El-Sherbiny noted that this significant project contributes to the rapid development of the city and that the government has successfully attracted major investors to fund projects like these, thanks to the robust infrastructure already in place.
