Minister of Housing Holds Meeting with Senate Members to Address Citizens’ Needs and Strengthen Joint Coordination, Emphasizing Ongoing Alignment Between Ministry Entities and Senate Members to Ensure Effective Responses to Public Demands.
In line with ongoing efforts to reinforce cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative branches, Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, convened a meeting with several Senate members to discuss citizens’ needs within their constituencies and examine several key issues related to the ministry’s sectors.
At the outset, the minister underscored the importance of maintaining continuous communication with members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, noting their essential role as a direct link to citizens. This engagement helps in identifying public needs and working to address them within the framework of the state’s urban development plans.

She further clarified that the ministry operates under a comprehensive vision focused on improving the quality of life. This vision includes expanding new urban communities, upgrading infrastructure, enhancing the efficiency of utilities and services, and delivering housing projects tailored to various segments of society.
During the meeting, several requests and proposals submitted by Senate members were reviewed. These covered matters such as utility connections, the development of existing areas, and the execution of service projects.
The Minister instructed that these requests be promptly examined and coordinated with the relevant authorities to take appropriate action based on priorities and available resources. Senate members, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the minister’s commitment to open communication and responsiveness to citizens’ concerns.
They praised her serious consideration of submitted requests and the ministry’s collaborative approach with the legislative branch, which supports efforts to meet citizens’ needs and accelerate the implementation of development and service projects across various governorates.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Engineer Randa El-Menshawy emphasized the need to continue strengthening coordination and integration between the ministry’s bodies and Senate members to ensure an effective response to citizens’ needs.
