Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, held an expanded meeting with the directors of the housing directorates in the governorates to follow up on workflow, discuss performance development, and resolve challenges facing the targeted projects. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the ministry and the Housing and Utilities Sector.
The minister emphasized the importance of continuous communication between the ministry and the directorates’ managers for coordination and support of projects, highlighting his commitment to field visits to provide backing for ongoing projects. He also requested the preparation of biweekly reports, every 15 days, to present the status of projects and challenges in order to provide the necessary support in coordination with relevant authorities.

The minister instructed that immediate support should be given to urgent matters, with real-time communication with the ministry to identify obstacles early and resolve them. He also stressed the importance of listening to citizens and addressing their problems, while implementing ongoing performance evaluations for the directors of housing directorates.
Engineer Nafisa Hesham delivered a presentation on the role of the housing directorates in implementing national and social housing projects, in addition to following up on building laws and urban development legislation. Meanwhile, Engineer Mostafa El-Naggar reviewed the directorates’ efforts in the “Housing for All Egyptians” project.
The meeting concluded with honoring the distinguished directors of housing in Matrouh and Giza governorates, who have recently retired.
