Engineer Randa El Menshawy: The Ministry Continues to Boost Execution Rates at Project Sites and Emphasizes Strict Adherence to Timelines to Ensure Prompt Unit Delivery to Beneficiaries
Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the progress of several housing projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in the cities of Capital Gardens, 6th of October City, New Qena, New Minya, and New Fayoum, in addition to monitoring the status of unit handovers to applicants.
Engineer Randa El Menshawy stated that the “Housing for All Egyptians” presidential initiative represents one of the state’s most significant national projects aimed at providing safe and suitable housing for different segments of citizens, in line with the directives of the political leadership to promote social justice and enhance citizens’ quality of life.
She added that the ministry is continuing efforts to accelerate implementation rates at various project locations while maintaining continuous follow-up on both construction and delivery stages.
The Minister of Housing stressed the necessity of fully complying with the approved timelines to guarantee the swift handover of units to beneficiaries, particularly those included in the fourteenth announcement, while also maintaining the scheduled delivery dates for the initiative’s other announcements.
She further emphasized the importance of providing all essential services and utilities to support the development of integrated and sustainable urban communities. In addition, she highlighted the need to apply the highest quality standards during implementation and ensure full compliance with approved engineering and technical specifications to preserve project sustainability and provide citizens with a secure and fully serviced residential environment.
Engineer Randa El Menshawy reviewed a report on the project’s implementation status, which included the findings of a field inspection tour conducted by Ammar Mandour, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and Construction Affairs, to monitor the execution of “Housing for All Egyptians” units in Capital Gardens City, accompanied by Ahmed El Araby, Head of the City Authority.
The inspection covered ongoing works within green housing projects comprising 422 residential buildings that include 9,534 housing units with areas ranging between 75 and 90 square meters.
During the tour, the implementation status of the targeted delivery sites was assessed, and directives were issued to finalize the remaining finishing works, particularly interior finishing, to ensure adherence to the plan for delivering fully finished units supplied with all utilities to beneficiaries.
The inspection also reviewed progress in utility works, including drinking water networks, sewage systems, and road infrastructure, in addition to external finishing works for residential buildings and overall site landscaping, ensuring the creation of a fully integrated urban environment for residents.
The tour in Capital Gardens City also included monitoring ongoing works under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” for low-income citizens under “Phase Five” within the fourteenth announcement, which involves the construction of 2,185 residential buildings.
The visit aimed to evaluate the actual quality level of implementation and monitor progress rates against approved timelines, contributing to accelerating work across project sites ahead of unit delivery to beneficiaries.
The report further noted that in 6th of October City, the delivery process for housing units under the first phase of the “Housing for All Egyptians” project has officially commenced, covering 63 residential buildings, according to a scheduled plan designed to ensure an organized handover process and facilitate procedures for citizens while preventing overcrowding and maintaining all regulatory measures.
The delivery plan includes handing over several residential buildings during the current month of May, with the remaining units scheduled for delivery successively over the coming months.
The report also reviewed the outcomes of a field tour conducted by Ali Saad, Head of the New Fayoum City Development Authority, to inspect units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” for low-income citizens in “Phase Six” located in the northern area of the First District of the city.
The inspection followed up on implementation rates for the project, which includes 24 residential buildings comprising a total of 576 housing units distributed across three work sites.
Construction efforts are currently being intensified to complete reinforced concrete works in accordance with the approved timeline while accelerating execution rates to ensure completion within the scheduled deadlines.
In New Minya City, Mohamed El Ezzouni, Head of the City Authority, conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the launch of the delivery plan for Phase Six of the social housing project “Housing for All Egyptians.”
During the tour, he and the accompanying delegation reviewed the implementation status of ongoing works within the phase, including residential units and infrastructure projects such as drinking water, sewage, irrigation, electricity, telecommunications networks, and road preparation works.
Meanwhile, Yasser Abdallah Ramadan, Head of the New Qena City Development Authority, carried out an inspection tour at the construction site of 28 residential buildings under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative in the Eastern Expansions area of the city.
During the visit, the Head of the Authority followed up on the implementation status of infrastructure and utility works within the project and verified their readiness ahead of the commencement of overall landscaping works, ensuring the rapid delivery of housing units in accordance with the highest quality standards.
