Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts to increase execution rates and ensuring continuous field follow-up of national projects in New October City. Among the most notable projects are those within the presidential initiative Housing for All Egyptians. He noted that work is currently underway to implement 55,000 housing units as part of the sixth phase of the initiative in the city, with plans to begin delivering the units to citizens in the near future.
The minister’s statements came during his inspection tour to follow up on the progress of several housing projects in the new cities. He emphasized adherence to the set specifications and quality standards while ensuring that projects are delivered within the scheduled timelines.

Similarly, officials from the New October City Authority conducted a field tour to inspect the construction sites of the residential buildings for the sixth phase of the presidential initiative. They were accompanied by representatives from the companies executing roadworks, utilities, and electricity. The discussions during the tour focused on the need to accelerate utility works to align with the housing unit delivery schedule.
In addition, the authority’s tours included the Social Club project in the West Airport area, which spans an area of 100,000 square meters. The club provides a variety of sports and social activities and services. The project has already reached a 98% completion rate, with final touches currently being completed in preparation for its upcoming inauguration and official launch.
