Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbini reviewed the progress of several projects in New Garden City, including a regional bus station, a wastewater lifting station, and the fifth phase of the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative. The projects aim to provide housing and integrated services in newly developed areas.
The minister directed that implementation be accelerated while adhering to quality standards and specifications, stressing that the city is moving toward comprehensive urban development that enhances living conditions. He also emphasized the importance of sourcing raw materials directly and increasing reliance on local products to achieve faster progress and deliver housing units to applicants in coordination with the Social Housing Fund.
Officials from the city authority inspected the regional bus station project, which spans 12,000 square meters and includes bus shelters, passenger facilities, and retail shops. They also visited the wastewater station located south of the 2,350-feddan area, which consists of pumps, generators, service buildings, and internal pipelines.
The authority further followed up on roadworks and site coordination for the “Housing for All Egyptians – Phase Five” project, while also addressing citizens’ requests at the technology center regarding housing units and services such as meters, land fees, and gas supply.
In the Al-Zohour district, within Phase Four of the “Housing for All Egyptians – Low-Income” project, emphasis was placed on expediting completion, upholding safety and quality standards, and finalizing finishing works across neighborhoods. Officials also called for the completion of roadworks, landscaping, and maintenance of green areas to ensure an integrated and pleasant environment for residents.
