Minister of Housing Discusses Water Supply Issues in Aswan with MPs

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, met with Members of Parliament representing Aswan to address residents’ complaints about weak water supply in several areas of the governorate.

During the meeting, El-Sherbiny emphasized his commitment to continuous communication with MPs, holding regular meetings as per directives from the Prime Minister. He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the executive and legislative branches to serve citizens effectively.

Parliamentarians raised concerns about water supply disruptions in areas such as Mahmoudiya, Premium Housing, and New Friendship City, with some areas experiencing extended outages.

The minister assured the MPs that immediate action had been taken to resolve the issues. Efforts included deploying necessary equipment and parts to restore a stable water supply to the affected areas. These actions addressed the primary causes of irregular water distribution.
