Engineer Randa El Menshawy, minister of housing, utilities, and urban communities, held a meeting with officials from Egypt Italy for real estate development to discuss areas of cooperation regarding a number of investment opportunities in the new cities.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Engineer Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, along with several senior officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Housing affirmed that the ministry continues to implement the directives of the political leadership to create an attractive investment climate, provide various forms of support to serious investors, and remove any obstacles that may hinder project implementation.

She noted that these efforts strengthen the role of the private sector as a key partner in achieving urban and economic development while contributing to increased investment rates and creating job opportunities.

The meeting reviewed a number of tourism and hospitality projects currently being implemented by Egypt Italy, in addition to discussing several investment partnership opportunities across a number of new cities, with the aim of expanding investment volumes and ensuring the optimal utilization of available land.

In this context, the minister stressed that tourism investment represents one of the main pillars of the development strategy for the new cities, given their promising potential to attract more domestic and foreign investments.

She emphasized that the ministry is working to encourage the development of integrated hospitality and tourism projects that keep pace with the rapid urban growth taking place in the new cities.

Company officials also presented a proposal for several targeted projects planned for the coming period, affirming their continued cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and their commitment to expanding the implementation of hospitality and urban development projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Engineer Randa El Menshawy directed that coordination between the ministry and the company continue to study a number of promising investment opportunities in several new cities, with the goal of maximizing land utilization and supporting the expansion of integrated development projects.
