Engineer Randa Al-Manshawi, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, met with Mr. Olaf Hofmann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the German company Dorsch Global, a leading firm in engineering planning and consultancy, accompanied by his delegation, to explore areas of joint cooperation in infrastructure and urban development. The meeting was attended by Engineer Ahmed Imran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities, along with several officials from the Ministry.
At the start of the meeting, the minister welcomed Mr. Olaf Hofmann and the accompanying delegation, stressing the ministry’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with major international specialized companies and leveraging global expertise in the implementation of national projects.
This is particularly important in the areas of smart city planning, infrastructure development, and project management, in line with the state’s approach toward achieving sustainable urban development.

Engineer Randa Al-Manshawi affirmed that the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, places strong emphasis on expanding the development of new cities and integrated urban communities, as well as executing infrastructure projects according to the latest international standards. This supports improving citizens’ quality of life and achieving the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
During the meeting, a number of ongoing projects in the drinking water and wastewater sectors were reviewed, in addition to various urban development projects. The discussions also underscored available investment opportunities for cooperation with the private sector and international companies across multiple projects affiliated with the Ministry.
For his part, Mr. Olaf Hofmann, Chairman of Dorsch Global, expressed his appreciation for the scale of development and ongoing projects in Egypt in recent years. He also highlighted the company’s interest in expanding its presence in the Egyptian market and cooperating with the Ministry of Housing on several upcoming projects, given its extensive global experience in engineering consultancy, project management, and infrastructure.
In conclusion, both sides agreed to continue coordination and further examine the proposed areas of cooperation in the coming period, in a manner that supports urban development plans and ensures the execution of projects according to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
