Minister of Housing Discusses Enhancing the Role of the Building Inspection Authority

Engineer Sherif El-Shorbagy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting today, Tuesday, with Dr. Haddad Saeed, Head of the Technical Building Inspection Authority, to review proposals for developing and strengthening the authority’s role. The discussion focused on enabling the authority to perform its tasks effectively, including inspecting the activities of administrative entities responsible for issuing building permits and other related responsibilities.

Emphasis on Enhancing Operational Efficiency

Minister El-Shorbagy highlighted the importance of improving the authority’s performance and exploring innovative and unconventional methods to diversify its funding sources and maximize its resources. He emphasized the authority’s critical role in monitoring and ensuring compliance with Egypt’s construction laws and regulations. These efforts aim to achieve sustainable urban development and enhance the quality of life for citizens.
