Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with officials from the Planning and Projects Sector of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to review the progress of ongoing work and evaluate the status of current and upcoming investment offerings across Egypt’s new cities. The meeting was attended by senior officials from both the Ministry and the Authority.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of expanding investment opportunities in new cities to maximize benefits, increase revenues, and strengthen the financial resources of NUCA.

He highlighted that the Ministry, through the Authority, has adopted various mechanisms to create diverse investment opportunities suitable for different investor categories, with a particular focus on fourth-generation cities. El-Sherbiny also underscored the need to provide a competitive and diversified real estate product, ensuring optimal utilization of incentives offered to investors.

During the session, the Minister reviewed the status of the land plots already offered and those currently under study for presentation to NUCA’s Board of Directors for approval. Discussions also covered the progress of land allocations made between January and October 2025, as well as updates on land offerings through the Foreign Investment Portal in U.S. dollars, including an assessment of the number of applications submitted for investment in new cities.

The meeting further examined the performance of the Major Investors Unit, along with updates on investment offerings connected to key national initiatives such as “Masaken wa Beit El Watan” for land allocation and “Your Home in Egypt” for residential units. Internal offerings within Egypt’s cities were also reviewed as part of the comprehensive update.

In conclusion, the Minister directed officials to enhance and modernize work mechanisms within NUCA’s Planning and Projects Sector while maintaining close follow-up on allocations, ongoing projects, and implementation rates. He reaffirmed the importance of continuing to offer more investment opportunities through various platforms to facilitate procedures for investors and strengthen Egypt’s real estate investment landscape.
