During the meeting, the status of land regularization in areas recently added to the city, spanning approximately 4,732 feddans, was reviewed. Discussions covered the regulations governing the reconciliation of these areas, and about 20,000 requests were received. Public lotteries have already allocated around 25% of the total added land to citizens. Progress on the “Sakan Misr” Housing Project
The meeting also addressed the progress of the remaining parts of the “Sakan Misr” project. Currently, work is being completed on 11 residential buildings, bringing the total to 114 buildings with 2,736 housing units.
Updates on Utility Projects
Several utility projects in El Shorouk City were also reviewed. Key updates include:
- The primary drinking water line will supply the Al Rabia area, facilitating development in extension areas.
- Water and sewage network projects covering five neighborhoods and the main water supply for the Geneifa and Al Salam areas.
- The development of alternative wastewater pipelines (1,000 mm G.R.P.) to transport wastewater from the city’s eastern region to the treatment plant. This alternative route will bypass the area near the electric train fence and the recreational area, optimizing land usage in this prime location.
