Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, confirmed that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has directed the implementation of sustainable projects to provide water, with a particular focus on villages across various governorates.
The minister explained that access to clean water will reach 99%, while sanitation services coverage will reach 70%. He added that the state is working on developing major projects in the field of sanitation, especially in the new cities.
He also stressed that it has now become possible to export Egyptian real estate, pointing to ongoing efforts to launch a new platform aimed at marketing Egyptian properties to foreign investors, as the Egyptian real estate market continues to draw significant local and international interest.
He revealed plans to launch the second phase of housing units for citizens through the new platform, which will include the provision of 25,000 units in new cities.
The minister further stated that the “Housing for All Egyptians” project has so far delivered 1.2 million housing units, affirming the ministry’s commitment to continuing to provide residential units that meet the needs of all segments of Egyptian society.
