Minister of Housing and Officials Inspect Presidential Initiative Projects in New Zaqaziq District

Engineer Sherif Shorbiny, Minister of Housing, and Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and City Expansion, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority, and Engineer Alaa Abdel-Latif Mustafa, Head of the Tenth of Ramadan Authority, conducted an inspection of the Presidential Initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” green model units in the New Zaqaziq district.

The initiative features a range of housing units, including 2,018 units of 90 square meters each and 112 units of 75 square meters each, across 109 buildings, totaling 2,130 residential units. The project is currently 43% complete.

Minister Shorbiny highlighted the state’s significant focus on providing suitable housing units within comprehensive, service-oriented residential communities for youth and low-income families. The officials also visited the water purification plant with a capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per day, which supplies water to several cities, including the Tenth of Ramadan, Badr, Gardens of the Capital, and the New Administrative Capital. They reviewed the plant’s performance and efficiency, ensuring that it meets technical specifications and that the power generators supporting the plant are functioning correctly to ensure continuous operation.

The visit concluded with an inspection of the infrastructure renewal project in the A1 industrial zone, including updates to the water and sewage networks and road improvements.

During the visit, the Minister emphasized the importance of these projects in enhancing the Tenth of Ramadan City and improving the services provided to citizens. He reviewed detailed presentations on the ongoing projects in the city and stressed the need to intensify work at project sites to increase progress and adhere to the highest quality standards.
