Minister of Housing and Giza Governor Conduct Surprise Inspection of Al-Haram Sewage Lift Station

In a recent unannounced visit, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, accompanied by Engineer Adel Al-Naggar, Governor of Giza, conducted an inspection of the Al-Haram Helical Sewage Lift Station on Mansouria Canal Road near Kafr Nassar in the Faisal area. This visit followed a joint meeting to review development plans for the area surrounding the Pyramids.

The officials toured the various sections of the Al-Haram Sewage Lift Station to assess adherence to operational and maintenance standards, ensure employee presence at workstations, and monitor workflow. Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of maintaining high operational standards, consistent upkeep, and enhancing the station’s aesthetic appeal and landscaping.

During the tour, station operators provided a detailed briefing, noting that the facility operates with a capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per day and serves the Pyramids area. It receives wastewater from Khufu Station, Tersa 6, Kafr Nassar, Tersa 5, and Officers’ Residences.

Joining the Minister and the Governor on the visit were Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Dr. Maha Fahim, Head of the General Authority for Urban Planning, Engineer Ahmed Abdelkader, Head of the Executive Authority for Water and Sewage, Engineer Ilham El-Sergany, Assistant Supervisor of the Minister’s Office, Major General Shaker Younes, Secretary-General of Giza Governorate, and Engineer Mohamed Nour, Assistant Secretary-General.
