Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his accompanying delegation inspected the development works at the Bir Massoud area in Miami during his tour of Alexandria Governorate today.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the state places great importance on developing coastal fronts and tourist and recreational areas in a way that contributes to improving citizens’ quality of life and enhancing the city’s aesthetic and cultural appeal. He noted that these efforts come within the framework of the state’s comprehensive vision to upgrade vital areas and transform them into attractive destinations for both residents and tourists.

Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, explained that the Bir Massoud development project includes the construction of open terraces overlooking the sea directly, allowing the public to enjoy the area’s prime waterfront location while preserving the historic and archaeological landmark of Bir Massoud and highlighting its historical and cultural significance.

Engineer Randa El-Menshawy also emphasized the state’s commitment to providing public spaces that enable citizens to enjoy the Alexandria Corniche and benefit from the city’s natural features. She noted that the project represents an integrated model for developing tourist and recreational areas while maintaining a balance between preserving Alexandria’s historic identity and enhancing its aesthetic and cultural value.

Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria, also stressed the continuation of daily on-site monitoring of implementation progress and ongoing coordination with all concerned authorities to ensure the project’s completion according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, within the established timeline, in a manner that achieves the desired development objectives and strengthens Alexandria’s position as one of Egypt’s most important coastal and tourist cities.

Meanwhile, Major General Osama El-Genzoury, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction, explained that the project also includes the establishment of a fully integrated tourist and recreational area featuring commercial shops, leisure areas, and open spaces for visitors. The project is designed to enhance the area’s tourism appeal while preserving Alexandria’s distinctive visual identity and architectural character as the Bride of the Mediterranean.

Major General Essam El-Gharably, Head of the Central North Coast Reconstruction Authority, further explained that the Bir Massoud development project comes within the framework of an integrated vision to revive and upgrade the city’s open waterfront areas in a modern and sustainable manner.

The project aims to maximize the benefits of this unique location by providing open public spaces, recreational facilities, and service areas, thereby enhancing the area’s tourism and economic value and establishing it as one of the distinguished destinations along the Alexandria Corniche.
