Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, continued her inspection tour in New Cairo City by reviewing the ongoing development and rehabilitation works at the “Dar Misr – Andalus” residential project, which includes 70 residential buildings.
The visit comes as part of the ministry’s plan to improve the quality of life within existing residential communities and enhance the level of services provided to residents. She was accompanied by Engineer Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities, along with officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and the New Cairo City Development Authority.
During the tour, officials from the city authority presented the efforts being made to address observations related to landscaping and green spaces. These works include rehabilitating planted areas, improving the distribution of vegetation throughout the project, and upgrading irrigation networks to ensure the sustainability of the landscaping while preserving the project’s overall aesthetic appearance.
The minister also inspected efforts to improve mobility within the residential development by upgrading internal walkways and open spaces while addressing several service-related observations. These measures aim to facilitate smoother movement throughout the project and provide residents with a more comfortable living environment.
The development plan also includes upgrading public lighting systems, improving cleanliness standards and routine maintenance works, and responding directly to residents’ feedback and observations to ensure faster responses and increase overall resident satisfaction within the project.
The ongoing development plan aims to comprehensively enhance the urban appearance of the “Dar Misr – Andalus” project, improve the quality of daily services, and provide a stable and integrated residential environment. The initiative reflects the state’s commitment to maintaining the efficiency and sustainability of housing projects after they have been delivered to citizens.
During the visit, Engineer Randa El-Menshawy met with several residents of the “Dar Misr – Andalus” project and listened to their proposals and inquiries, particularly regarding the expected completion date of the development works.
The minister directed officials to keep residents informed about the details of the ongoing works and the scheduled implementation timeline, emphasizing that their requests and needs are a priority for the Ministry of Housing and will be carefully studied and addressed.
