A delegation from Côte d’Ivoire, led by Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Bruno Kone, is set to participate in the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12) taking place in Cairo from November 4 to 8.
In this context, Egyptian Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire Sherif Saif met with the Ivorian minister to discuss arrangements for Côte d’Ivoire’s participation in this global event. The ambassador emphasized Egypt’s commitment to sharing its experience with African brothers in the field of urban development, highlighting the significance of hosting the event in Africa for the first time in 20 years.
The ambassador also underscored the importance of enhancing cooperative relations between the two countries, particularly given Egypt’s expertise and Côte d’Ivoire’s growing needs in housing.
Minister Kone praised Egypt’s capabilities and expertise in urban development, referencing his previous visit to Egypt where he learned about the developments in the new administrative capital and other new cities.
He expressed his eagerness to meet with various officials, business leaders, and Egyptian investors during his visit to Cairo, aiming to encourage and increase the number of Egyptian companies operating in the construction and housing sectors in Côte d’Ivoire.
