The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbini, announced that the authorities of the new cities have continued their campaigns to confront informal practices and preserve the civilized appearance of urban areas, in addition to upgrading and maintaining roads and public utilities, in implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
The campaigns covered the cities of El Shorouk, New Cairo, 6th of October, Obour, Sheikh Zayed, and Badr, alongside regular follow-ups to ensure the sustainability of these efforts.

In El Shorouk, road rehabilitation, electricity maintenance, and upgrades to islands and squares were carried out, in addition to an extensive campaign in the Distinguished Housing area. In Obour, development works were executed to regulate markets and remove violations in several neighborhoods of the city.
In Sheikh Zayed, the campaigns continued to tackle the phenomenon of scavengers, remove street obstructions in various neighborhoods, and immediately address violations at the service center of the 8th District. In New Cairo, the inspections included the “Dar Misr” project in its second phase in the Andalus area, where the level of cleanliness, maintenance, and public services was monitored.
In Badr City, the campaigns targeted the 1st and 5th districts to remove obstructions, regulate violations, and clear encroachments on roads. Meanwhile, in 6th of October City, demolition orders were carried out for multiple building violations across different neighborhoods, with ongoing field efforts to maintain order and cleanliness.
City authority officials affirmed that work will continue to ensure that the new cities remain organized, clean, and civilized, reflecting their true status.
