As part of ongoing field monitoring activities aimed at raising service efficiency and improving citizens’ quality of life, Engineer Ahmed Rashad El Sherif, Head of the New Cairo City Development Authority, carried out an extensive inspection tour across several districts and neighborhoods in the Fifth Settlement.
The tour aimed to review the overall status of public utilities, assess the level of services delivered to residents, and ensure the effective functioning of various service and implementation sectors.
The Head of the Authority was accompanied during the tour by Engineer Ahmed Helmy, Deputy Head of the Authority for the Fifth Settlement, along with a number of the Chairman’s assistants and officials from executive departments.
The inspection covered South Academy, the Third District, and the Fourth District, where they reviewed the quality of public services and followed up on ongoing operation and maintenance works in those areas.
The tour also included an inspection of several main roads and key arteries within the Fifth Settlement to monitor the performance of public utilities and ensure the smooth flow of traffic. The delegation additionally reviewed regular cleaning activities, waste collection operations, and sidewalk maintenance works, all of which play a role in maintaining the city’s urban appearance and improving its overall environment.
The inspection further extended to evaluating the upkeep of green areas, landscaping activities, and overall site organization. This reflects ongoing efforts to preserve the distinctive aesthetic character of New Cairo City while supporting sustainable development initiatives and enhancing the urban landscape across its various districts.
Engineer Ahmed Rashad El Sherif stressed that continuous field monitoring represents one of the most important tools for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
He also emphasized the necessity of maintaining the distinguished urban appearance of the Fifth Settlement and promptly addressing any observations identified during field inspections, ensuring the continuity of high-quality services provided to residents.
At the conclusion of the tour, the Chairman highlighted the importance of strengthening the daily monitoring system and enhancing the efficiency of routine maintenance operations.
He further called for continued full coordination among all departments and intensified field inspections around the clock, in line with the Ministry of Housing’s directives, to ensure the highest standards of service and further improve the quality of life for residents of the city.
