Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Eng. Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held an expanded meeting at the Ministry of Housing headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to review the implementation status and coordinate joint efforts for launching the first phase of the Egyptian Real Estate Export Platform.
Facilitating Foreign Investment in Egypt’s Real Estate Market
The initiative comes as part of the government’s efforts to facilitate foreign investment in Egypt’s real estate market by providing a comprehensive and trusted digital ecosystem. The platform will enable digitally verified and streamlined property purchase processes with competitive advantages aligned with global markets, supporting the national economy and strengthening Egypt’s position on the international real estate investment map.
At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy welcomed Eng. Raafat Hindi and the accompanying delegation, praising the close coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the Ministry of Communications in implementing the Egyptian Real Estate Export Platform, as well as their broader collaboration on digital transformation initiatives.
She noted that the platform represents a significant addition to this cooperation and a strategic step toward enhancing the state’s ability to market Egyptian real estate globally and open new markets for foreign investors.
The initiative is expected to increase foreign direct investment, stimulate economic sectors linked to real estate, create new job opportunities, strengthen the contribution of the real estate sector to economic growth, and support the country’s sustainable development goals.
The Minister of Housing added that the platform will simplify procedures and strengthen foreign investors’ confidence in the Egyptian real estate market by providing a secure and transparent investment environment. It will allow investors to access approved, licensed, and verified real estate projects.
She emphasized that exporting Egyptian real estate is one of the key pillars for supporting the national economy, given Egypt’s strong competitive advantages, promising real estate market, and integrated urban developments that rival leading international projects.
For his part, Eng. Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, affirmed that the ongoing and productive cooperation with the Ministry of Housing ensures the development of a secure, integrated, multilingual digital platform that will enhance the global competitiveness of Egyptian real estate while facilitating digital sales and documentation with confidence and security.
He praised the joint efforts between the two ministries in implementing a package of digital transformation projects in the housing sector, primarily aimed at simplifying procedures for citizens.
He added that the Ministry of Communications is committed to leveraging the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence applications and secure cloud computing, to provide a seamless, innovative, and exceptional digital experience for both Egyptian and foreign investors.
He also noted that the platform’s digital infrastructure has been designed in accordance with the highest international standards applied in global digital real estate markets. It will enable property buyers to access all interactive electronic services directly through the platform and communicate with the relevant government authorities to complete transactions as quickly as possible with the highest levels of reliability.
During the meeting, both ministries reviewed the efforts made to establish the real estate export system since the political leadership directed the launch of the initiative, culminating in preparations to begin implementation in New Alamein City as the first phase, given its status as one of Egypt’s leading destinations for real estate investment.
The meeting also discussed the successful cooperation between the Ministries of Housing and Communications, which serves as a model for government integration in implementing digital transformation projects.
This collaboration has resulted in several major achievements in the housing sector, including the development of digital infrastructure for fourth-generation smart cities, the digitization of services provided by the New Urban Communities Authority, and the launch of electronic services enabling citizens to reserve housing units and state-owned land with ease and transparency.
The Egyptian Real Estate Export Platform represents a new and pivotal milestone in this strategic partnership in support of the national economy. The meeting was attended by Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, along with Eng. Mahmoud Badawy, Assistant Minister of Communications for Digital Transformation, and a number of senior officials from both ministries.
