Inspection of Housing Projects in Badr City: Progress on Distinctive, Middle-Income, and Capital Employees Housing

Eng. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Amer, Head of the Badr City Development Authority, and Eng. Mohamed Hamdy, Head of the Central Construction Department in the New Urban Communities Authority, along with other officials, conducted a thorough inspection of several housing projects in Badr City. The tour focused on the distinct housing units, middle-income housing, and the third phase of the Capital Employees Housing.

Overview of Housing Projects in Badr City

  • Distinctive Housing Units: The inspection included the project of 92 residential buildings, which comprises a total of 2,208 housing units. The construction progress has reached 92%, with the expected completion date set for December 30, 2024.
  • Capital Employees Housing (Phase 3): The officials also reviewed the third phase of the Capital Employees Housing project, consisting of 295 buildings and 7,080 units.
  • Middle-Income Housing: The inspection covered the middle-income housing project, which includes 44 buildings and 1,056 units. The project has reached 66% completion.

Recommendations and Action Plan

During the visit, a coordination meeting was held to discuss the current status of these projects, including the progress of services and the payment status of contractors. The officials emphasized the need to expedite the construction work while maintaining high standards of quality. Contractors were urged to increase their efforts, boost the performance rate, and adhere to the project timelines by deploying more equipment and labor to ensure timely completion.
