Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority, toured Obour City to inspect water stations, sewage pumping stations, and ongoing development projects. A team of engineers and officials accompanied him.
He began his tour by visiting the construction works of valve chambers on two water pipelines with a diameter of 1400 mm, where the chamber walls had been raised. He also inspected the development of Sewage Pumping Station No. 4, monitoring improvements in painting, wall insulation, and general site enhancements. Additionally, two new pumps had been installed to improve the station’s efficiency and meet the demands of industrial wastewater.
Engineer Amin Ghoneim also inspected the development project of the First Industrial Zone and its extension. He reviewed the progress of paving and asphalting on Street 600 and the installation of curbstones on Street 130. Housing officials also examined the renovation and upgrade of Sewage Pumping Station No. 6, which included internal and external painting, raising the station’s perimeter fence, installing shades to protect diesel tanks, constructing a concrete base for new pumps, and improving the surrounding area with asphalt, curbstones, interlocking tiles, and general site coordination.
The tour concluded with inspecting the maintenance and efficiency upgrades at the central water station in the industrial area (B & G). During the visit, Ghoneim listened to a briefing on the station’s operational status and future expansion plans, including building painting, industrial work completion, and general site preparation. Additionally, efforts are underway to develop the efficiency of the administrative building and upgrade both the northern and southern clarifiers. The station is one of the most extensive purification facilities in the country, supplying water to several cities and neighboring areas.
