Engineer Amr Khattab, spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, discussed the upcoming housing offer for low- and middle-income groups, which is expected to be announced by Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny either today or by November.
Khattab, speaking on the TV program El-Saa 6 on Al-Hayat channel, said the offer would include 78,730 fully finished residential units, ranging from 75 to 90 square meters, spread across most of Egypt’s governorates and new cities. Locations include East and West Cairo, Upper Egypt, the Eastern Province, Monufia, Fayoum, Ismailia, Beheira, Matrouh, North and South Sinai, Giza, Sadat City, and other new cities.
The units are available for immediate delivery or within three years. Prices range from EGP 184,000 to EGP 400,000 in the governorates, and between EGP 400,000 and EGP 530,000 in new cities. All units come with installment plans that extend up to 20 years, making them affordable for a wide range of families.
To qualify, applicants must be Egyptian, aged between 21 and 50, with a monthly income between EGP 3,500 and EGP 15,000 for families (or EGP 12,000 for individuals). The most expensive unit costs EGP 700,000. The “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative offers interest rates of 8% annually for low-income groups and 12% for middle-income groups, with repayment terms of up to 20 years.
Khattab also announced another housing offer on October 27, featuring 6,575 units in 15 cities under the Sakan Misr, Dar Misr, and Janna projects. Buyers will need to make a down payment of 20%, with details available on the ministry’s website starting October 27.
