The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has postponed the launch of 400,000 housing units, which was scheduled to be released on Friday, October 10, via the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform, to an unspecified date — marking the second delay.
Earlier, the ministry had officially announced that the launch on the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform would proceed as scheduled, but it has now decided to delay the process indefinitely. This decision sparked frustration among citizens who were eagerly waiting to book their units.

On another note, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, confirmed that the ministry is working on developing an integrated platform for exporting Egyptian real estate as part of a plan aimed at opening new horizons for real estate investments. The plan includes the creation of an accurate database for classifying units and identifying target markets, in addition to linking the platform electronically with global markets to enhance export capabilities.
The minister also pointed out that regular meetings with work teams are ongoing to accelerate the implementation steps of the Unified Real Estate National ID System, which aims to regulate the real estate market and achieve a higher level of transparency and data accuracy.
