Housing Ministry Issues New Directives on Land Regularization and Allocation

Eng. Ameen Ghoniem, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Utilities, Station Maintenance, and Follow-up, conducted an inspection visit to monitor infrastructure projects, including “water – sewage” facilities, roads and electricity, in various areas of New Obour City. The visit included a review of utility services for land regularization sites, accompanied by Eng. Ahmed Omran, Eng. Ahmed Ali, Assistant Vice Presidents of the Authority, Eng. Haitham Hamady, Assistant Vice President, and Dr. Eng. Ahmed Ismail Jabr, Head of the City Authority.

This visit aligns with Eng’s directives. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has emphasized the importance of regularly monitoring ongoing projects in new cities and overcoming any challenges hindering implementation.

New Obour Land Allocation

Eng. Ameen Ghoniem and his delegation inspected utility projects in various plots within the Al-Amal district, recently annexed to New Obour City, to oversee the land allocation process.

He directed strict adherence to the organizational structure and scheduled timelines regarding the allocation of lands in Sector (209). The project aims to finalize the land regularization process and ensure plots are handed over to citizens with complete infrastructure and proper planning based on standard guidelines.

Housing officials also examined the remaining priority sectors within the first urgent phase of the Al-Amal area, reviewing the progress of infrastructure works and road formations in Sectors (276 – 500). A detailed briefing on project advancements was presented, focusing on extending essential utilities such as water and sewage networks to make the area livable.

Eng. Ameen Ghoniem emphasized the necessity of continuous coordination among relevant authorities to accelerate the completion of infrastructure works. He highlighted that finishing these services will improve living conditions for residents and establish a fully integrated residential environment.

Infrastructure and Electricity Projects in New Obour City

Eng. Ameen Ghoniem and his team were briefed on the overall status of infrastructure projects in the city’s utilities sector. The inspection began with a visit to the ongoing construction of the Obour 6 Power Station in the 13th District. This project is one of the most significant developments in New Obour City, aimed at strengthening the city’s electrical network and ensuring a stable power supply for multiple residential neighborhoods.

He instructed that all necessary technical procedures be expedited to ensure the station’s construction meets the highest engineering standards. He also stressed the importance of adhering to the established timelines to complete the project according to specifications and commission the station as soon as possible.

After the visit, the Vice President of NUCA for Utilities reiterated the importance of strict adherence to the planned schedules for all ongoing projects in New Obour City. He noted that monitoring the execution of these projects according to their designated timelines ensures that objectives are met efficiently, reflecting the dedicated efforts made to provide the best services for residents.
