The Badr City Development Authority, headed by Engineer El-Sayed Amin, Chairman of the Authority, continued its intensive campaigns targeting commercial malls along Russian University Street. The campaign focused on removing illegal occupancies, encroachments, and the unauthorized use of walkways and sidewalks in violation of the applicable regulations.
The campaign comes within the framework of the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities; Dr. Engineer Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for New Urban Communities; and Engineer Ammar Mandour, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Development and Construction Sector, to confront all forms of unplanned and unauthorized practices in the new cities.
The campaign included inspection tours of the commercial malls to ensure compliance with the designated areas allocated for commercial activities and to prevent encroachments on public walkways that obstruct pedestrian movement and negatively affect the city’s urban appearance.
Engineer El-Sayed Amin, Chairman of the Badr City Development Authority, affirmed that these campaigns will continue and that violations will not be allowed to return. He stressed that the necessary legal measures will be taken against violators to protect citizens’ right to use public walkways and to ensure smooth traffic flow and ease of movement within commercial areas.
He added that the Authority will continue its daily field inspections of malls and commercial markets to ensure full compliance with laws and regulations, emphasizing that preserving order and maintaining the city’s civilized appearance remain among the Authority’s highest priorities during the current phase.
