In a step that reflects the state’s commitment to providing an ideal environment for housing and essential services, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Authority, announced the completion of construction works for a new school in the West Airport area.
This school comes as part of efforts to support the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, which aims to improve quality of life and provide education in newly established residential areas. The move is in line with the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, who consistently emphasizes the importance of accelerating development projects in new cities.
The Head of the Authority added that coordination is currently underway with the Directorate of Education and the General Authority for Educational Buildings to finalize the procedures for handing over the school. It is expected to officially open in time to welcome students at the beginning of the upcoming academic year, reflecting the government’s focus on integrating essential services within the framework of population development.
In the same context, Engineer Mahmoud Murad, Deputy Head of the Authority, clarified that efforts are not limited to a single school. He pointed out that final finishing works are currently being completed on two additional schools in the same area, raising the total number of educational facilities in West Airport to four schools.
In addition, accelerated work is underway on establishing a new ambulance station in the West Airport area, which is expected to become operational next month. Preparations are also in progress for the handover of two new nurseries once construction is complete, ensuring the provision of a comprehensive environment for residents that includes healthcare, education, and childcare.
