Housing Minister Sherif El-Sharbiny announced the launch of the digital application form for beneficiaries under the Old Rent Law through the Egypt Digital Platform (digital.gov.eg) starting 11:00 AM on October 13, 2025.
The minister confirmed that the required data is simple and easy to complete, noting that 54,452 electronic accounts have been registered so far, with registration continuing until the end of the specified period.
The application model was tested in coordination with the Ministry of Communications to ensure smooth user experience and eliminate any technical issues.
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, advised citizens encountering technical difficulties to contact the platform’s customer service via 15999.

Abdel Hamid outlined the registration steps, which include creating an electronic account and selecting the “Alternative Housing” service from the platform. Applicants must then complete the required information, starting with specifying the rental relationship status — such as original tenant, tenant’s spouse, or legal extension of lease — followed by entering details of the rented unit, family information, and declaring the social and health status of the residents.
She also pointed out the requirement to enter company or commercial activity data, linking it to the commercial or tax registration number, and then verifying the mobile number to ensure data protection.
Upon completion, applicants receive a confirmation message acknowledging the successful submission of their request, with a commitment from the authorities to make contact if additional information is required.
