Engineer Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the progress of several residential, service, and development projects in the cities of New Qena, New Minya, Obour, and New Sohag.

The review comes as part of the ministry’s commitment to continuously monitor ongoing projects in new cities, accelerate implementation rates, and ensure compliance with the highest quality standards.

In a statement issued, the Minister of Housing stressed the importance of increasing field inspection tours by heads of new city authorities, closely monitoring implementation progress, and addressing any obstacles that could affect project execution. She emphasized the need to complete projects according to the approved timelines while fully adhering to technical specifications and quality standards.

The minister received a report stating that in New Qena City, Engineer Yasser Ramadan, Head of the City Development Authority, accompanied by city officials, inspected the implementation of the Diarna Housing Project in the Clubs Area of the First Residential District.

The project includes nine residential buildings. The inspection reviewed construction progress, finishing quality, and external works while emphasizing compliance with technical specifications and occupational safety and health standards and the acceleration of work to ensure completion on schedule.

The report added that in New Minya City, Engineer Mohamed El Ezzouni, Head of the City Development Authority, inspected the construction of five residential buildings in the fifth phase of the presidential Housing for All Egyptians initiative.

He also followed up on maintenance and development works at the Tourist Promenade in the Third District, irrigation network reinforcement, expansion of green spaces, and urban beautification efforts, directing the executing companies to expedite implementation while maintaining the highest quality standards.

In Obour City, Engineer Tamer Gabr, Head of the City Development Authority, reviewed several projects, most notably the launch of the Zelal Luxury Housing Project in the city center, which includes 260 residential units of various sizes.

He also followed up on road development works in the industrial zones, the completion of the integrated craft workshops complex, upgrades to the city’s main road corridors, and the development of green spaces and service areas, contributing to economic activity and improving the quality of life in the city.

The report also highlighted the implementation status of the Housing for All Egyptians project in New Sohag City, located in the 735-feddan area. Engineer Ayman Rashad, Head of the City Development Authority, inspected the project to review ongoing construction and finishing works. The project includes 54 residential buildings comprising a total of 1,356 housing units.

He stressed adherence to the approved implementation schedule, execution quality, and the swift completion of works in preparation for handing over the units to beneficiaries. Engineer Randa El Menshawy emphasized the continuation of daily field monitoring of all residential, service, and development projects under implementation in the new cities.

She affirmed that this approach aims to accelerate work progress, achieve the highest quality standards, ensure adherence to scheduled timelines, provide integrated urban communities, improve quality of life, and meet citizens’ needs in line with the state’s vision for sustainable urban development.
