Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the implementation status of housing projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in Hadayek 10th of Ramadan, 15th of May, and Hadayek October cities.
In this context, the minister of housing received a report on the results of inspection tours conducted by officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). The report included an inspection tour conducted by Eng. Ammar Mandour, NUCA Vice President for Development and Construction, in Hadayek 10th of Ramadan City, in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Abdel Razek, Head of the City Development Authority, and city officials.
The tour covered projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” across its various phases, including Phase Five, comprising 109 residential buildings with a total of 2,130 housing units; Phase Six, comprising 258 residential buildings with approximately 6,192 housing units; and Phase Seven, comprising 118 residential buildings with a total of 2,832 housing units.
The tour also included monitoring finishing works, building facades, roads, landscaping, and service areas, as well as inspecting works to upgrade the city’s main entrance, construct the main gate, and carry out landscaping.
In Hadayek October City, the report addressed the results of a tour conducted by Eng. Yasser Abdel Halim, Head of the City Development Authority, and city officials to inspect the area comprising 810 residential buildings under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.”
The tour followed up on the implementation status of ongoing works, including the preparation and construction of main and internal roads and landscaping works, to assess progress rates and work completed on the ground and ensure that implementation is proceeding according to the established plans.
On the 15th of May in the city, the minister reviewed the status of several projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” including the middle-income housing project in the Qarnfel area, which comprises 91 residential buildings with a total of 2,184 housing units; the Al-Zahraa area project, which comprises 203 residential buildings with a total of 4,872 housing units; and the low-income housing project in the 100-Feddan Narjis area, which comprises 465 residential buildings with a total of 11,160 housing units.
The review also covered implementation rates, finishing works, utilities, and landscaping, with an emphasis on accelerating the completion of the remaining works in preparation for handover. The follow-up in the Qarnfel area of 15th of May City also included listening to residents’ complaints, particularly those related to the public lighting system.
Instructions were issued to quickly identify locations experiencing a shortage or lack of lighting poles and take the necessary measures to provide and install the required poles, with continued follow-up until the work is completed. The minister of housing emphasized the importance of continuing work, intensifying field follow-up, quickly completing the remaining works, and accelerating implementation rates.
She stressed that the next phase requires continued efforts across various fields of work and support for all measures aimed at improving the level of services, advancing development works, and enhancing quality of life, thereby strengthening the foundations of new cities.
