Eng. Sherif Al-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has been closely monitoring the progress of various housing projects in Badr City, Capital Gardens, 15 May City, and New Damietta. These projects include units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” as well as Sakn Misr and premium housing developments. The updates come through periodic reports and inspection tours.
Housing for All Income Levels
The minister emphasized that the goal of these projects is to provide housing units that cater to diverse income groups while creating job opportunities. This aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to ensure citizens have access to suitable, quality housing that enhances their quality of life.
During his follow-up, Eng. Al-Sherbiny directed stakeholders to expedite the completion of housing projects, adhering to high standards and including infrastructure and service works. He also called for the timely launch of new housing units to meet growing demand.
Three-Pronged Housing Policy
The ministry’s housing strategy revolves around three pillars:
- Offering premium units for higher-income individuals at market prices.
- Supporting middle-income groups with appropriately priced housing.
- Providing subsidized social housing for low-income families.
