Housing Minister Oversees Land Regularization and Infrastructure Development in New Obour City

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, is closely monitoring the progress of the land regularization system and infrastructure projects in the expanded areas of New Obour City. Through regular reports and field visits, El-Sherbiny is overseeing efforts to accommodate citizens and entities on these lands by streamlining regulatory processes and infrastructure work.

In a statement, the Minister emphasized the need for consistent follow-up on ongoing projects within the added city areas, highlighting the urgency of completing land regularization processes to facilitate planned urban communities that address future population needs. The plan aims to foster well-organized developments and enhance urban growth.

Ahmed Ismail, Head of the New Obour City Authority, conducted site visits to inspect infrastructure projects in the “Al-Amal” area. Accompanied by project officials and contractors, Ismail assessed the current progress of essential utilities, including water and sewage networks, and the development of roads in target neighborhoods such as areas 209, 276, and 500 square meters. He stressed the importance of both speedy completion and high-quality work standards.

Ismail engaged in discussions with engineers and technical staff, addressing any challenges they may face. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks, as the infrastructure in these newly added lands is crucial to advancing the regularization process and enhancing service standards for New Obour residents.

In addition, Ismail visited the customer service technology center to evaluate its performance and ensure streamlined services for citizens navigating land regularization processes. He discussed potential improvements with staff, stressing the value of leveraging modern technology to expedite procedures and improve the citizen experience.

Inspecting other major projects, Ismail reviewed the ongoing work on the R3 road, a critical 5.8 km route connecting the Middle Ring Road to the R6 and passing through the Qadisiyah area. He also checked progress on the 11.2 km R4 road, which links the Middle Ring Road to the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road, and the work on a key water pipeline installation to supply the newly added land areas.
