Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held her regular meeting with several members of the House of Representatives to listen to their demands and the needs of citizens and work to address them.
Improving the Level of Services Provided to Citizens
During the meeting, the minister of housing emphasized that the ministry places responding to citizens’ demands and improving the level of services provided to them at the top of its priorities.
These services include housing projects, drinking water, wastewater and sanitation, and roads within the ministry’s areas of responsibility. She also stressed the importance of monitoring project implementation rates according to the specified timelines to maximize the benefits for citizens.
A Good Opportunity to Directly Learn About MPs’ Views and Demands
Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, highlighted the importance of these regular meetings, describing them as a valuable opportunity to directly learn about the views and demands of members of Parliament and the needs of citizens in their constituencies, as MPs serve as an important link with citizens.
She also stressed the importance of studying the demands raised and determining the necessary measures to address them. The meeting included a review of several files and needs related to services and utilities.
The Minister of Housing directed ministry officials and affiliated entities to study and work on implementing all demands and needs raised during the meeting, in coordination with members of the House of Representatives.
Strengthening Communication Channels with Members of Parliament in Both Houses
Eng. Randa El-Menshawy emphasized that the ministry will continue to strengthen communication channels with members of Parliament in both the House of Representatives and the Senate while following up on the demands and needs raised in a way that contributes to accelerating development and improving the level of services.
The Minister of Housing stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between the ministry and members of Parliament to ensure a swift response to citizens’ demands, support the state’s plans for implementing housing, utilities, and urban development projects, and achieve the greatest possible benefit from investments directed toward this sector.
