Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, issued four decisions to remove a number of unlicensed building violations within the jurisdiction of the Second Sector Development Authority of the Northwestern Coast.
The decisions come as part of the ministry and new city authorities’ efforts to combat violations and preserve urban planning and construction regulations. The decisions included the removal of building violations in the Dabaa area, involving the construction of a building comprising four shops with a concrete roof without obtaining the necessary permits.
The decisions also included the removal of a building violation in the area west of the Dabaa project, involving the construction of a wall over an area of approximately one feddan, in violation of regulations and without a license. The decisions also included the removal of a building violation in the Fouka area, south of the Coastal Road, involving the construction of shops.
They further included the removal of a building violation in the Jefaira area, north of the Coastal Road, involving the fencing of a land plot with a wooden fence and the construction of fence footings over an area of approximately 1,000 square meters, in addition to concrete footings inside the plot in preparation for constructing buildings, all without obtaining the necessary permits.
In the same context, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy followed up on the results of recent field campaigns carried out by the authorities of Hadayek, October 6th, New Akhmim, and Badr Cities to address building violations, encroachments, and illegal occupations, as well as to ensure compliance with the conditions governing the use of social housing units.
In Hadayek October City, the City Development Authority continued its campaigns to monitor and halt building violations and take immediate action against them. In cooperation with the relevant authorities, an extensive field campaign was carried out across several areas.

The campaign resulted in halting the stockpiling of building materials in preparation for constructing a violating floor on a land plot in Sector D of Hadayek Al-Yasmeen, “Ebni Beitak 4,” in addition to the immediate removal of rear setback foundations on another plot in Sector C of the same area.
Immediate removal was also carried out for rear setback walls on a plot in Sector W of Hadayek Al-Yasmeen, “Ebni Beitak 4,” while wooden formwork for side setbacks was removed from a plot in Sector R of Zahret October, “Ebni Beitak 7.”
In the 6th of October City, the City Development Authority continued its intensive campaigns in the southern sector to address waste-sorting sites, illegal occupations, and encroachments while preserving the environment and the city’s urban appearance.
The campaigns resulted in the seizure and impoundment of two vehicles used for waste-sorting activities, as well as vehicles used to illegally sell beverages. Authorities also dealt with one of the waste-sorting sites at Magda Square and removed the sorted waste materials from the location. The campaigns further included the removal of a number of illegal occupations at Al-Hosary Square.
In New Akhmim City, the City Development Authority continued monitoring campaigns targeting social housing units to ensure compliance with allocation and occupancy conditions and guarantee that housing support reaches eligible beneficiaries.
The campaigns aimed to verify that the units were actually occupied by their designated beneficiaries and had not been illegally sold or rented out, in addition to ensuring that the designated use of residential units had not been changed.
In Badr City, the City Development Authority carried out a large-scale campaign to remove illegal occupations and encroachments at the mall located in the Narges area of the Fifth District as part of the Authority’s plan to maintain order and preserve the urban appearance across the city’s various neighborhoods.
The campaign targeted the removal of illegal occupations and encroachments that affect the smooth flow of movement and the general appearance of the area, while emphasizing that public spaces and pedestrian walkways must not be used in violation of the applicable regulations.
