Engineer Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has issued 10 demolition decisions targeting building violations and encroachments on land owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in several new cities.

The move comes as part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to combat all forms of illegal construction, protect state-owned land, and enforce the law with full firmness.

Details of the Decisions

The decisions cover the removal of illegal construction and land encroachments in several cities and areas under the jurisdiction of the New Urban Communities Authority, including New Beni Mazar City, Badr City, and the First Sector of the North West Coast.

The violations include encroachments on land owned by the Authority, as well as the demolition of buildings, extensions, and construction works carried out without legal authorization or without obtaining the required permits.

The minister of housing reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing the state’s plan to decisively address building violations and land encroachments, stressing that no violations affecting state rights or hindering urban development efforts will be tolerated. She added that the new city authorities continue to monitor violations closely and take immediate legal action against offenders.

The decisions also stipulate that the relevant city authorities, in coordination with the construction police and the competent police departments, shall carry out the demolition orders and take all necessary measures to remove the violations in accordance with the provisions of the law.
