Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, issued 7 removal decisions for several building violations carried out in breach of the prescribed requirements and permits in the first sector of the Northwest Coast and New Cairo City.

The decisions aim to address illegal construction activities and preserve the urban and planning character of the cities and areas under the ministry’s jurisdiction. The decisions included the removal of building violations at a chalet in a tourist village north of the Alexandria/Matrouh Coastal Road.

The violations involved taking over part of a public garden and enclosing it with a fence. They also included the construction of a concrete fence around a villa in another tourist village north of the Coastal Road in Alexandria Governorate.

In addition, the decisions covered the construction of a fence around another villa, building violations involving three white-block buildings with concrete roofs used as storage facilities or seasonal workers’ accommodation, and the construction of a building with a wooden roof and walls used as a real estate marketing office.

The violations also included the construction of a swimming pool, all without a building permit or legal basis. The decisions also covered building violations on a plot of land in the Fifth District of Fifth Settlement in New Cairo City. These violations involved enclosing the basement service room and changing the use of part of the basement to residential use in violation of the regulations, without a legal basis, and in breach of the building permit.

The decisions come as part of continued efforts to firmly address illegal construction activities and encroachments and to take the necessary legal measures to preserve urban planning and prevent any random practices or violations that could affect the civilized appearance of cities and new urban communities.
