Engineer Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour in Badr City, beginning with a visit to the Zahret Al Asimah housing project for employees relocating to the New Administrative Capital.
The tour was attended by Engineer Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities; senior officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA); and the Head of the Badr City Development Authority.
The minister began the tour by reviewing the project’s implementation status, examining construction progress, and discussing mechanisms to accelerate work and overcome any obstacles to ensure adherence to the established timeline and completion of the project in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
During the tour, the minister inspected the fourth phase of the project, which includes approximately 463 residential buildings comprising a total of 11,112 fully finished housing units, built over an area of around 268 feddans. She reviewed construction progress on-site and assessed compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
She also inspected the third phase, which consists of 295 residential buildings with a total of 7,080 housing units, contributing to the development of an integrated urban community that serves employees relocating to the New Administrative Capital and their families.
Engineer Randa El Menshawy emphasized that providing educational, healthcare, commercial, and recreational services is a fundamental part of the ministry’s vision for developing integrated urban communities.
She stressed the importance of continuous field monitoring of construction progress, adherence to project schedules, and intensifying efforts to complete the remaining works to ensure the project’s full readiness, including all residential and service components.
The housing minister added that the Zahret Al Asimah project in Badr City is one of the ministry’s key developments aimed at supporting the relocation of employees to the New Administrative Capital.
She noted that the Ministry regularly monitors all phases of implementation to ensure compliance with project timelines and standard specifications, reflecting the state’s commitment to developing integrated and sustainable urban communities.
During her visit to the Zahret Al Asimah project, the minister also met with one of the project’s residents to assess the quality of services provided and ensure the availability of essential utilities, including drinking water and electricity. The resident confirmed that all services are operating regularly and are fully available.
The minister reaffirmed that the ministry is committed to implementing fully serviced housing projects that provide an integrated urban environment capable of meeting citizens’ needs. The Housing Minister also inspected one of the residential units within the project to ensure the quality of the interior finishing works.
