Randa El Menshawy has reviewed the progress of the land regularization process in the newly added areas of New Shorouk City and New Obour City. This follow-up comes within the framework of establishing well-planned, fully serviced urban communities that support urban stability while safeguarding the rights of both the state and citizens.

The minister stressed the importance of expediting the completion of land legalization procedures and accelerating utility implementation works in the added areas. She also highlighted the need to increase execution rates, strengthen on-site monitoring across all stages of work, and closely track the issuance of building permits alongside the readiness of land plots and infrastructure.

She further emphasized removing any obstacles that may hinder workflow to ensure faster completion and enable citizens to benefit from services as soon as possible, in line with sustainable development goals and improved quality of life.

In this context, the minister received a report summarizing the outcomes of a meeting held at the headquarters of the New Shorouk City Authority, attended by Abdel Raouf El Gheit, supervisor of the real estate and commercial affairs sector at the New Urban Communities Authority.

The meeting reviewed the latest updates on regularizing the status of the city’s added areas and discussed mechanisms to accelerate implementation rates while enhancing coordination among relevant stakeholders.

The discussions also reviewed the status of regularization files, particularly in the areas of Al Rabwa, Al Salam, Tayba, and North Shorouk, where current progress was assessed. Participants emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and adhering strictly to defined timelines to ensure the swift completion of procedures.

Mohamed Ahmed Zakaria stated that the Al Rabwa area has witnessed significant progress in the regularization process. He noted that utility works have been completed in several districts, while construction has already begun on plots whose permits were issued.

He also pointed out that the citizen service center has been organized by phasing implementation steps and announcing beneficiary names gradually, which has helped reduce congestion and facilitate services for residents.

He further inspected ongoing utility works in areas allocated to citizens whose legal status has been regularized, including road networks, sewage systems, and drinking water infrastructure. He reiterated the importance of intensifying efforts in the upcoming phase and maximizing execution rates while fully adhering to established timelines.

In a related development, the report indicated that Mahmoud Murad conducted an extensive field inspection tour to follow up on land servicing projects in the added areas of New Obour City, particularly in the Al Amal and Al Talae districts. The tour aimed to review ongoing implementation rates in preparation for announcing a new batch of land plot deliveries after the completion of basic utility works.

The works include the implementation of water and sewage networks as well as road surfacing projects as part of the state’s broader efforts to regularize land status and achieve urban stability in the added areas.

Authorities emphasized that strict adherence to schedules and increasing execution rates across all sites remain essential to ensure the completion of infrastructure projects according to the required quality and efficiency standards. The Al Amal and Al Talae areas are currently witnessing notable progress in utility implementation within the framework of ongoing efforts to regulate conditions and support urban stability.
